At the KIA Champions Field in Gwangju on Saturday, LG won 6-5 in a neck-and-neck race between teams and KIA teams. LG, ranking first, recorded 20 wins and seven losses to become the first team to secure 20 wins. 

It was a magnificent game. KIA scored the first run with Han Jun-su's double in the second inning and Choi Won-joon's timely hit after two outs. After two outs in the third inning, LG came from behind to score a 3-1 victory with Kim Hyun-soo's double, Austin's walk, Moon Bo-kyung's double (two RBIs) and Park Dong-won's timely hit (one RBI). 

KIA had a bases loaded with no outs in the bottom of the fourth inning with a walk by Lee Woo-sung, a hit by Han Jun-su, and a hit by Byun Woo-hyuk. MVP Kim Do-young, who returned as a pinch hitter, tied the game with a timely two-run double. With the bases loaded with two outs, Choi hit a two-run double to the left, leading the team to a 5-3 victory.

LG displayed outstanding potential. In the sixth inning, LG walked Austin, Moon Bo-kyung hit, and Park Dong-won walked to create a chance to load the bases with no outs, and replaced starter Yang Hyeon-jong.
